K.OConnor hp 350
Just picked up a decent shape 85 IROC with a non original carb motor. Front passenger is stamped K.Oconnor HP350. I can't find anything online. Anyone ever heard of this on here?

I have never heard of it but if you post some pics of the motor we can probably tell you a little about it.

Re: K.OConnor hp 350
My guess would be it's a rebuild from a shop. A lot of times a shop will ID their engines in this matter.
My guess would be K is the 1st name initial and O'Connor is the last name. It could be the name of the shop or even the name of the person who built that engine.
Guessing, I would say the HP350 should mean 1 of the 2.. High performance 350 cid engine. Or Horsepower 350.
Do some research to see if there was or is a performance shop, speed shop, engine rebuilding shop with the name of O'connor local to your area or the area which the seller lived in.
On my more high end builds for customers I mark those in close to the same matter "NRHP XX XXX" The NRP stands for Night Rider High Performance, 1st two spaces is last 2 digits of year, and last 3 spaces is engine size.

That was exactly my thoughts. The previous owner did not do the install and seemed to not know much about it. Been doing some go ogling with no results on various combos of the above. Just figured I would throw the question out there and stratch people's brains.
For all I know someone on here has been to Occonors... but for all I know it could be out of business by now.

Well it appears as if I have a 5.7L block sg1 from something. 305 heads stamped 601. Rockers and valve springs don't look to fancy to me but I been hanging around Ls1s with beehives for a bit.
Other things that are more obvious full msd ignition, holkey carb and fuel pump, long tubes, edelbrock rpm performer manifold. Be cool radiator. Curently missing ac, window resevoir, wipers, and has a little chrome canister instead of a coolant resevoir. Be cool radiator with electric fan.
I guess it has the potential to be 350hp maybe as advertised as setup depending on the cam. It definitely doesn't have much thump to it. Has Flowmaster exhaust which is going to come off probably first.
Any other ideas you might have to check to give me a little background?
