Want to swap stock 305 to a 454 in an 86 iroc any tips or advice on how top do this, this will be my very first engine swap. Also any help on recommended parts for a motor that can handle a super charger, I will add one eventually. If not any advice on which BBC would work best?

 

You are going to want to reinforce the subframe before you do this swap, if you haven't already. Try a search for "454 swap" or "bbc swap" and you should get a lot of questions answered.

 

Do you recommend any other BBC besides a 454 where I don't have to reinforce the sub frame?

 

You should get subframe connectors regardless of what engine you have. I put them on when I still had a 2.8 in my car. These cars need all the structural help they can get. They're not expensive and not terribly hard to install.
