Procedures and tips for 383 first start up
I have a rebuilt 350 stroked out to a 383 with aluminum 2.02/1.60 64cc heads going to be running around 10.5 CR and the roller can it has in it is a lunatti .535/.550 231/239 @.050 110LSA 1.5 roller rockers and a holley stealth ram intake sitting on top. I also bought a new HEI distributor and new coil pack and ignition box. My main questions are what I need to do to have this motor tuned correctly to be able to start up and run. I'm not sure if I need to flash my ecu with a tune for all the upgrades the new motor will have or if I will be able to atleast get it running with the way the ecu was programmed from the factory and then work from there. This is my first engine build please be easy on me if you think I am uneducated in this subject I'm trying to learn. If there are any other tips I could get when putting the engine back in the car and steps to getting it running I would appreciate it. Thanks guys
