So i read the sticky on the 350 not working very well with the T5. are there other engine swaps that work well and last long term with a manual tranny? are there any possible known swaps with a 6 speed manual? I already have a 1990 c1500 5.7 with an AT, so I don't need a second car with an auto. But i'd like some power. 305 with a turbo? v8 from a different chevy? what are my options?
fwiw, I'm a moderately experienced motorcycle mechanic, do all my own work on my cars, but not experienced with things like engine swaps or performance mods on cars.
edit: ok, now i see the LS1 thread, apologies.

Direct your attention less to what motor to use, and more to what transmission to use.what are my options?
