89 rs 2.8 to 5.0 swap help
I have a 89 rs 2.8. I also have a 92 caprice with a 5.0 in it and I believe a 700r4 tranny. I want to put the 5 in my 89. Can. I take the computer and all out of the caprice aid put in Camaro and make it work?? Also what else is envolved. In details please. Thanks guys

Yes, it can be done. Read the V6 to V8 swap sticky in the top section of this forum for the basics.
Use the ECM & harness from the Caprice. There may be some details that are different, but most likely they would be minor.
Not sure if the rest of the engine harness will disconnect from the Caprice and connect in the Camaro, but my guess is it won't. But, you could splice the Caprice harness and Camaro harness together.
