I have a 1989 camaro rs I'm swapping a 2.8 for the 350 I know my stock transfer will not bolt up what I need to know is what transmission is a good replacement that will fit in the car it is automatic set up

700r4 overdrive from a third gen F body v8 car.... Or any 700r4 from a v8 car and swap the tail shaft housing.

The third gen F cars uses a trans tail housing with bolt holes for the torque arm mount.. Other full size cars/trucks do not, but you can swap the tail housing over and be good to go.
