v6 to v8 350 carb electrical problems
Hey guys,
Going to be putting in a carbreauted 350 with a t5 transmission into a 1986 base camaro. Going to have an aftermarket distributor, ignition box. Because it was a v6 what wiring can i pull out? im assuming i can take everything going to the computer out and the computer itself out... thanks any help is appreciated, also because im pulling it where do i run the wires running out of the ignition down the steering column and how do i run power into the car for the fuses into there? thans

You can use the factory 6 cyl wiring for most things. Cut/lengthen as needed, crimp on new ends, etc.
The starter, alt, headlights, horn, wipers, etc can stay and all can be made to work on the V8.
Yes you can remove the computer and it's wiring (comes from pass side fender)
No reason to mess with the column, fuse box, etc. All of that should stay as is.
Power is fed to the fuse box by the starter wiring and battery cable.
