92 RS ENGINE SWAP to carb. GM turn key 350 I HAVE QUESTIONS

Ok, so how are you guys doing? Im going from a TBI engine to a carbrauter The exact engine im going to be putting in the car is a 350 right from GM theirselves
here is the link: http://www.gmperformancemotor.com/parts/19333158.html

Its a turn key engine, all pulleys are ready to go. My question is what do i have to do differently to my 700r4 transmission? I'd like to make it so the computer controls nothing at all. I'm pretty sure that im going to be getting the trans rebuilt completely here once i pull the engine out, which might even be this weekend.

Also i need to know what i should do differently to my fuel supply...Since im going from TBI to CARB. I know that the pressure changes.

so to sum up
What do i need to do to my transmission to switch to a carbreuated, NON computer controlled engine?
What kind of fuel pump do i need for my new engine?
Is there anything else that i need to do to my fuel lines, tank, pump etc...???

Please if you can help me out, Any and All help is GREATLY appreciated!!

The reason i'm asking about the trans is because my buddy has an 88 s10 he put a gm 350 in and he had the trans built up some. He kept the same style torque converter i believe. That somehow hurt the trans to the point where it needed an entire rebuild, He told me it was something along the lines of the trans needing a signal from the computer and since it wasn't receiving it, It wound up burning it up. The fix was getting another trans rebuilt and having a non lock-up torque converter installed...by doing this, i believe he doesnt have overdrive anymire either.

Please bare with me on this and excuse me if the above passage doesnt make sense. But that was what he and i were both told, i hope this sounds familiar

The computer controls the torque converter clutch (lockup); nothing else. Including overdrive. That's ENTIRELY hydraulic.

Your bud most likely had some kinda sodomy going on for his TV cable. If you don't make that mistake, it won't happen to you. Best way to assure correctness is to add the "geometry corrector" (yeah I know) for whatever carb you use. http://www.tvmadeez.com/

I won't "bare" with you, unless you are female; otherwise it would be kinda ... icky .... and even then, I'd have to reserve the right. But I will "bear" with you.

There are "kits" you can get for the lockup; they use the 3-4 indicator switch in the trans, and engine vacuum, and the brake lights, to provide the logic. Not hard to create one yourself though.

Your buddy made the mistake most newbies make with the 700r4 and swaps. He thinks the TV cable is just another detent cable or passing gear cable and did not buy the brackets/kit to get the cable set right on his new combo. It's not just a kickdown cable. It's a throttle valve cable that controls trans line pressure.

The 700r4 trans is NOT computer controlled, the ONLY thing the computer does is control the torque converter lockup. Running w/o the lockup function will not hurt a thing. It will kill about 3% of your fuel mileage but that's it.

You can run with out, or you can buy a kit or make your own wiring and brake switch for it to lock/unlock.

That engine comes with a mech. fuel pump installed. You have 3 options for fuel pressure/pump setup.

Keep mech pump on engine, pull the pickup sender out of gas tank and replace it with one from a 82-87 carb'ed camaro/firebird...

Keep mech pump on engine, pull the pickup sender out of gas tank and replace the elec. fuel pump with length of hard line and connect it with compression fittings or short rubber fuel line and clamps..

Remove mech fuel pump off engine and install a block off plate, install an adjustable fuel pressure reg. on your fuel supply line and use your stock in tank elec. pump.

Are you female? If not, then, ... no. And maybe not even then, that'd just be the entry-level qualification, at which time I might consent to investigate further.
