Ok guys i need alot of help.....

Ok i have never rebuilt an engine but am thinking about making it a project. but i need some advice. What i want is a a car doing 12s and to keep highway miles as good as possible. I have a bunch of ideas but i dont know what works.... How can i get my goal and how much will it cost. oh and i wanna keep tpi, or atleast fuel injection. I was thinking of getting a 350 and rebuilding it with a 383stroker kit and maybe adding an ati supercharger. Also is it cheaper/more efficient to just buy a crate engine than it is to rebuild an engine (keep in mind id have to buy the 350 to start) what crate engine can i buy that can be fuel injected and run a supercharger, do i have to rebuild an engine? i need help guys, im gonna do something and im not terribly worried about the money while at the same time i dont have it to burn....

383 supercharged is overkill. Drop a supercharger on your 350 with headers, an appropriate cam, and ported intake and you will be in the 12s. You'll need new injectors, knock sensor and est, and some prom work(Im assuming you have a 305 now, otherwise you may not have said you needed to buy a 350). It is cheaper to rebuild if you can find a decent deal on the block.

I don't think that's the right way to go.

1st, your goals are a bit pie-in-the-sky and almost mutually exclusive. But, with exhaust work, transmission upgrades, suspension help, and a good shot a NOX, a streetable 350 TPI will get into the 12s. If your engine is basically sound right now, you're not even talking a rebuild.
