Water pumps different from old motor to new?
Im in the middle of a swap from a 305 carbed to 350 carbed and i was installing the water pump that came from the 350 back onto it and i noticed that my old water pump was different , the old had way more holes then the new and the where the feedback hose went on the old water pump has a plug in it on the new, also on the bottom left side of the new pump there is a hole with threads. I dont know what would go there. Could i just put the plug into the bottom left hole then use the top hole as the feedback hole? In the pictures u can see the old water pump is way different than the new

The freshly painted one is a "short" pump; 50s & 60s. Won't even begin to think about considering maybe planning to possibly randomly accidentally even come close to working in a 80s car.
If this is going back in the same car with the same cooling system, use the old pump.

You don't need a link from me... just look up the one for whatever year car you have, 305.
