3800 series supercharged

Are these motors good for these swaps? any transmission that would bolt to it for rear wheel drive, considering these motors are all in front wheel. thanks

I don't see why it wouldn't . I believe that they are the same block which is in the grand national, and the tta.
Its a great motor. My dad is on his second Grand pre gtp. I think that this is a great swap idea.
just my .02

The newer 3800 is a front wheel drive version and the bolt pattern is very different. It would be a difficult task, good luck.

if you get a tranny from a 4thgen 3.8L f-body it shouldn't be too hard.

The bellhousing bolt pattern is the same on the Series II 3800 as the other 60* V6's, the problem would be possibly in engine mounts and wiring harness, neither should be a big problem, the other problem with the supercharged setup and the NA one for that matter is that the throttle body would be in the back of the motor so im not sure if there's enough clearance for an elbow to bring it around.

Don't know if the swap is possible or not, but I'll definately state that I love driving our supercharged '98 Olds LSS. Smooth and pretty quick, plus good mileage.

throttlebody in the back, no problem. get a cowl induction hood, good air filter & enjoy. engine mounts will be interesting though.
