LS1/LS6 swap

would it be possible to drop in a 6-bolt LS1/LS6 engine into an 89 305 IROC Camaro? would it bolt up to the TH700r4 tranny? if so, what kind of stall converter and rear end would I need to accomodate the power of the engine? is there anything else I need? please e-mail any suggestions to transamcamaro@hotmail.com thanx
