will vats interfear 350tbi
I have a 89 5speed rs that came stock with a 305tbi. I have a 350 tpi out of a 88 or 89. If I put a tbi intake on this 350 will vats interfear with my system? I do have a 88 tbi car I can get the engine harness and ecm from.Even the dash If I had to use it. I want to switch as little as possible. I realy hate to change out dash and steering colume. I read a post about caprice ecm.Hows vats do with that

They say to use a 350 ecm, prom and knock sencer. Oh and 350 injectors. Third gen had no 350 TBI,so a truck or caprice ecm and prom got a be used. Will the caprice and truck ecm and prom still work in a vats equipped car?

Ecm can stay the same. The prom needs to be different but still has no bearing on the vats. It's a separate module that sends a signal to the ecm. As long as the key and vehicle's original vats module isn't changed (which there is no reason to change) you'll have zero problems with vats.

Using the 88 stuff shouldn't have any affect, I don't think. Though it may need a few pins changed at the c100 or c200 but I doubt it'd be much. If you want to change to tpi you could use the 86 stuff and the same rules apply.
