Knowing that I want to hit 600+RWHP someday, OK if not right away what do you guys think of skipping over the LS3 and jumping right into an LSA?
The connect & cruise systems that GM offers basically give you everything you need to turn your car into a ZL1. I checked out Camaro5 forums and those guys have crazy looking TQ curves bone stock. Then they add a pulley and jump over 600 RWHP easily. Seems like a good route. Gets a 2 year 50,000 miles warranty too.
Not cheap by a long shot, but all there, new and ready to drop in. Jegs sells this for about $19K. I figure if I save up for a year plus my bonus for next year I could just about swing it. By then I should have most of my "good" stuff sold to help offset the cost.
Anyways, really just looking to see what you all think. Thanks.

Option #1: My 390 has been sitting for about 3.5 years so if I decide to keep it I will get it refreshed, dyno tuned, then add the blower, have that dyno tuned and slap that in the car, rebuild the T-56 and (from a 93 F-body, so gears are no longer available )call it done. Induction is thru a 750 CSU aerosol blow thru carb.
Dennis, does that t56 I bought off you need to be rebuilt?

Hey Kyle, for what you need it for, it will be just fine. I would need a rebuild/upgrade for what I am planning... 700+hp to the wheels.
something more mild, like my old 450 hp 390 and it should be just fine.
When I was thinking of keeping all my SBC stuff I was thinking of having Tick Performance rebuild it with Viper internals to handle the power.
