Cracked head

i have a 427 with 840 heads what are the chances that the heads are craked and iscausing my overheating it is .030 bored

i am having hard time with that heat and thats why i am looking at a craked head or gasket

Highly doubt it is a cracked head, but possible. Either way you will have to pull the heads off to do the gaskets so you might as well check for cracks and warp at the same time. I have a hard time keeping my SBC 350 cold some times. I am assuming you have already upgraded the radiator from the stock one?....

Could be a lot of different things. When is it over heating and what have you done to diagnose it?
