lq4/9 help

I have a 1988 IROC and the 305 ain't enough... Looking about putting in a LQ9 or lq4 with a carburetor.. My question is how difficult or expensive is it to put this engine in? Will a th400 mount up? Thanks in advance

One thing about the 'do more research' comment. Speaking from experience, with SO much info out there and a lot of it being fairly dated, it's easy to suffer from "Information Overload". I find it very beneficial to talk to someone who has recent first hand knowledge doing the same thing. Technology has come a long ways the last few years alone in after market stuff for our cars. Just saying.

Yes that does happen. So does analysis paralysis, but OP isn't even asking a question.

Yes it's easier to talk to someone who's done it, but the info is all out there already. If you're not willing to dig into the technical details on whether or not something is possible, I highly doubt you'll be able to accomplish it practically.
