i need help with lq4 in a third gen formula
ok i am doing a lq4 6.0 in a 89 firebird i need help this is my first swap and i am on a budget so i am trying to keep it cheap. if u have any pics of swaps like this or anythings i should no or advice please post thanks for your time

do a search here and at ls1tech.com. very common and they should answer all your questions. to keep it cheap i have found a few swaps with your 700r4 also. i believe all you need is a adapter, flexplate and longer bolts. good luck.

What are you considering "cheap"? check the LTx/LSx sub-forum, lots of information there about it.
I do know you'll have to swap to F-body accessories, an LS1/LS6 intake for it to all fit under the hood to start with.
Putting an LSx version motor into a 3rd gen is not that cheap, I would probably budget around 3-4k including the price of the engine.
