89 firebird 350 swap
I'm going to be swapping my 2.8 v6 for a carbarated 350 and I was wondering what the first big step should be. This will be my first motor swap with some additional help from people who have done a few In the past

Re: 89 firebird 350 swap
Install V-8 motor mounts (requires moving the brakeline on the crossmember but that's easy), and install the V-8 fuel lines which route to the passenger side of the car...

Find a V8 parts car. You'll run into things that are different that you've never thought of. I've gathered most of the parts once, sold the car and a few parts, and I've gone about gathering the rest of the parts a second time now... It's an endeavor to do the job right, which is why you see it done so little.

Search.
Seriously, use the search feature to look for v8 swap topics and just read a few of them. The short answer is nothing under the car is the same. There are a few bits that are, and a few that'll work in a pinch, but the topic has been discussed at length and you can save a lot of time waiting for a reply, by just looking at threads that have already discussed the topic.
Google works well too, just type in v8 swap thirdgen.org and one of the first results should say -
