Hi I was wondering if anyone has done this swap and what is involved I have a complete 91 formula 5.7 tpi donor car with a auto trans my car is a 89 formula tbi 305 t5 car at the end of the day I would like it to be a 5.7 tpi t5 car I have tried looking into this swap and cant really find much on it people have said you need to have a chip made or burned what company's would be able to do that as a t5 wasn't available in 91 cars besides that what else would have to be done and needed to complete this swap thanks for any information in advance

 

 

Your T5 wont live long behind the 5.7 unless you are easy on it.

So as far as the swap I knew I was going to need the wire harness and ecu out of the 91 and a memcal chip programmed so the 5.7 will run correct with the t5 is the c200 connector the same as the 89 or does the dash wiring need to be swapped as well just trying to figure out everything I need out of the 91 so when I'm done stripping it I wont be like oh I needed that too lol thanks for the info so far and Pauly C the t5 is only until I get my hands on another t56
