Can an LT1 or LT4 engine be swapped in for the replacement of a 305 in an IROC-Z? Is it rather simple or does it require some major adjustments. thanks.

 

Its been talked about a lot here,all the information you need is on here, do a search if I leave anything out,

Custom fuel lines.
Custom p/s lines.
86 up flywheel/flexplate- depending on your application.
LT1 radiator and hoses.
Headers preferrably- for 82-92 f body.
Extra O2 sensor fitting, weld into drivers side of Y pipe or header.
Custom harness or modified stock harness.

Extra info:

A/C - need to weld pass side engine mount to support pump.
Non A/C - Get 1LE a/c delete idler, fits in without any modification.
With 6 spd- Need to fab trans. crossmember or buy pre fabricated, Spohn has several to choose from www.spohn.net
Stock Exhaust manifolds will bolt up, but dont cover the ports properly, headers highly recommended.
