LT1 Swap A/C bracket "heads up"
Heads up for anyone thinking about or planning to swap in a LT1 and doesn't want to notch the K-member of their Thirdgen. Bowers Race and Rod shop stopped selling the A/C relocation bracket kits for the LT1 swap due to the reduced interest in LT1 swaps and increase in material cost. Their kit relocates the A/C compressor up to the driver side of the engine and alleviates the need to notch the k-member for compressor clearance on the lower passenger side of the engine bay. Over the last few weeks, I talked to Joe at Bowers Race and Rod Shop about my interest in a kit and a couple other people also inquired so he agreed to make a few more but not as many as he did before due to the rise in material cost. The price has also risen about $50-$60 to cover the cost. So if you are interested in purchasing a kit, you should hit him up and let him know your interest before he stops completely. I ordered mine today.
