2002 Camaro SS Donor TO 1988 Camaro

In what order would you recommend swapping (as many as I can) parts over from the SS to the 1988 Camaro which presently has the 305\700R4 setup.

I know it's a vague question but as you guys know I'm starting with very little experience and was curious what order you would swap the parts over that would make the most sense. The end goal is to have my 1988 Camaro as a LS1 T56 car with as many parts from the SS besides dash, etc into the 88.

Any help.is always appreciated.

If it were me, I'd map out a plan with respect to end result desired and budget., As far as drive train, once things are prepped, I would install trans/motor together, assure it's wired up/running, then button up the rest. Do you space? Are u adding rear end/interior? Suspension or just engine swap. The threads on this site are excellent for helping u determine process needs budget etc. Again, I like to have a plan to assure no oh shoot! Moments

I had a complete donor and used a lot of it. I used the engine, transmission, rear end, radiator, gas tank, pedals, clutch hydraulics, gauges, computer, wiring harness, driveshaft, the seats are also usable.

Re: 2002 Camaro SS Donor TO 1988 Camaro

91ls1t56, I have swapped over fuel tank, driveshaft, engine & transmission, but i also want to swap over radiator/condensor, how did you mount a shroud to fit it in? If you have pictures that would be even better, I have heard of using a fourth gen upper shroud but I cannot seem to make it fit(can't even close the hood), and the mounts are wider on the thirdgen shroud, so just looking for more information on that.
