So I have read the guides and they are very informative. I have a whole 1990 Trans Am to be transferred into my 1982 Camaro. Everything seems pretty straight forward. Any ideas or suggestions with what to do about the dash, AC? It would have been nice to just transfer in the dash but I want to keep the Camaro interior/dash appearance. Any issues using the old AC dash components with the newer compressor. have done this once before and the results were great but that was going from 1989 trans am to 1984 trans am. So appearance was similar. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, you will have issues to deal with.

The Firebird has electronic speedometer and the Camaro is mechanical. I believe you can convert the transmission to cable drive (assuming it's automatic). You will have to route the VSS signal from the instrument cluster to the ECM, though.

But the Camaro tach is calibrated for the V6. Might be best to just get an early 3rd gen Camaro V8 cluster (and get a speedo that goes over 85 mph at the same time).

The transmission crossmember mounts further back for the '90 than the '82 chassis has bolt provisions. I did the same thing, just rigged up a 1/8" steel plate with nuts welded onto it to slide into the frame member on each side after drilling the rear bolt holes. You can use the '90 crossmember as a template.

That's what I can think of off the top of my head.
