85 305 TPI to 355.
I am looking at a 355 stroker to replace my 305. I believe the accessories (A/C, Power Steering, Starter .....) should transfer over. However I am not sure so can someone please confirm.
Thanks

355 stroker? What are you stroking to get 355 cubes?
Basically, most things will fit; there are a few detail items such as flex plate (depends upon rear main seal type), and head vintage (most '68-newer will allow accessories to fit).
FWIW, the '85 TPI system wasn't that great. A later version would run the engine better and be more adaptable to the additional cubes.

I am looking at a shop that has a 350 bored .030 over ( hence 355?) I will need to replace 700R4 with a later version due to rear seal. I was planning on having TPI redone by Rich @ Cruzin Performance with 22lb injectors and a adjustable fuel regulator. I just wanted to make sure the AC, Power Steering... will fit without any major problems.
Your accessories may bolt right up...maybe not. It depends what heads you go with. You should get old style heads so your intake doesnt need any modification. What year is the block? Does it have the two piece rear main seal? If so I think you need a new flexplate and starter, but I'm not sure.
Just so you know, a "stroker" engine is an engine that has been given a longer stroke by changing cranks (383, 377, 335, etc) not just overboring.
What heads were you looking to run? Any way you build it, it should be a great improvement in performance. I would suggest putting as much money as you can into engine internals and heads. Those are the bad places to skimp out.
Good luck
just remembered, its the '85 computer that kind of stinks. The tpi system could use some porting/aftermarket parts like any other tpi, but should be fine. There is a tech article on changing the '85 computer over to a better unit.
