V6 to 305 tpi worth it?

A friend of mine is offering a 1987 305 tpi and transmission for just about free. I have a 1986 camaro with a 2.8 and have always thought about a v8 engine swap. Is this something I should jump on. I know the LS is all you hear about but being free is pretty tempting. What do you think?

Yes it is worth it. The exhaust note alone makes it worth it.

The 2.8 v6 is pretty terrible swapping to a 305 TPI would be worth it in my opinion but swapping to an LS or LT would be even better.
