1984 berlinetta 2.8 v6 swap

I have a 1984 berlinetta camaro that my father passed down to me but the 2.8 engine blew up. He took it to an automotive engineering and restoration shop and he swapped in a 305 from a 1987 camaro lt. We got it back and it runs but a bunch of things aren't working due to it not being a plug and play system for the digidash. A conversion kit was installed so the speedometer reads. He took the berlinetta wiper motor and swapped in the lt and the entire left hand side control pod doesn't function. no wipers or hvac controls work. Another thing is the transmission doesn't go into park after it warms up I'm guessing it's due to the metal expanding from the heat. I really wanna get this car fully functional while my dad can still get into it.

That's pretty rough. Unfortunately the only way to know how to fix it is to dig into it at this point. It sounds like you might not be to comfortable getting into that, so it could end up being expensive. Have you brought these issues up with the shop that caused them?

We did and he basically admitted that he got in over his head and couldn't finish it properly. He already got rid of all the old parts including the wiper motor that's damn near impossible to find. Any suggestions where I should start.
