Another k-member issue
So I installed the engine today using my Holley motor mounts and stock 4th gen clamshells. Everything fit into the car but I have two issues.
The engine sits higher on the passenger side and the the 302-2 oil pan is sitting on the k-member on the side as well. I think the reason it is sitting higher is because it is sitting on the pan.
I know some people have installed the clamshells upside down but I don't think this is possible with 4th gen OEM mounts.
Has anyone had an issue Holley motor mounts, Stock k-member, and Stock OEM 4th gen clamshells? I assume I could just shim the engine on the side so it won't hit.

Re: Another k-member issue
Actually looks like it is hitting just a bit on both sides. Maybe these mounts are worn out?
Re: Another k-member issue
I don't have experience with holley mounts, but I do with the old Hawks/Spohn LS swap brackets. Their PS mount was fabricated too low. A level across the radiator support vs valley cover supported this. My solution was to cut/weld, but that's not always an option for everyone
Fbody LS1 mounts can be installed upside down/backwards. For new mounts, it shouldn't affect geometry as the thru bolt is centered in all axis'. Old mounts can sag more/less which can magnify mount irregularities
An alternative is to use the old SBC clamshells with simple adapter brackets. ICT/amazon knockoffs or whatever all work well. Be careful as the clamshells are side specific and can be installed backwards
