V6 EFI - Carb 1st gen 350 swap
V6 EFI - Carb 1st gen 350 swap
I got a 1986 2.8 v6 700r4 firebird.
I am halfway through a computerless carb 350 swap (Pulled out of a 73 monte carlo), I have the engine in, mounted, and rad connected. I also got a v8 700r4, which is bolted and mounted.
Question is, will my dash work? I understand that theres no computer, and that the interior info lights wont work, but I want its core functions like the spedo/tach and basic info like oil pressure and temp to work. Would I be able to just yank a harness (firewall beyond) and connect it to my interior harness?

If it was working with the V-6, it will work with the V-8 except for the tach. You need a V-8 tach. You don't need to yank any harness except for the ECM harness...

You could but I would just get the factory one working and modify it for a V8
