Hawk's Doing an LS Swap

I have a 3rd gen 'Bird and interested in trading the TPI 350 for an LS and 6-speed. Hawk's has in impressive inventory of LS1-2-3 to choose from. Unfortunately this swap is beyond my physical abilities (following two shoulder surgeries) and may be a real tech challenge on top of the physical challenge. Hawk's can do the swap and the complete package looks good but very pricey. If you have direct experience with Hawk's service side I would like to hear from you. A PM is fine if you prefer.

I had contemplated a GTO or Vette to get my LS/6-speed fix but after test drives I still find my Firebird more pleasurable to drive. I have always been disappointed with the TPI and there are so few manual trannies out there the swap looks like the best route. Thanks for your replies.

No personal experience with their shop, but I visited their facility this past summer to pick up some parts and they gave me a tour of their shop and some of the project cars they were currently working on. I was impressed with what I saw. Neat, clean and organized workspace, multiple projects actively being worked on with what looked to be high quality work and care for the customer's car. There were a number of 3rd and 4th gen F-bodies there, but they also had a K5 Blazer and an 80's Wagoneer in the shop for LS swaps.

Re: Hawk's Doing an LS Swap

Seen a couple of their shop builds on their instagram page and the cars come out very nice. Probably not a direct comparison to what an average customer looking for an engine swap would get but hawks definitely know their way around these cars and they are no strangers to putting an LS in them
