Re: 880 vortec block info
350 pistons are 350 pistons. All pistons fit all blocks, in the same overbore. It's a small block Chevy after all. Year of the block doesn't matter. All the same from 67 - 200x, subject to the usual dish, dome, etc. kind of stuff. Which, since some years some motors came with flat-tops and other years others dished in various amounts and so on, the "catalog listing" might well list one style as "stock" for some years butt not others. Doesn't matter. All pistons fit all blocks and can be chosen for reasons other than whether they fit or not.
Not sure about "of set". If you mean "offset", then it doesn't matter, as far as fitment. Stock rods aren't "offset" in any case; that's a property of pistons, wherein they shift the pin over to the side slightly in the direction of rotation to reduce side loading. All 350 pistons fit all 350 rods fit all 350 blocks fit all 350 cranks in that regard. Cranks & blocks of course have their own year break from 85 to 86 butt that doesn't affect pistons or rods.

iirc the 880 originally had metric rings . But doesn’t matter with an earlier pistons. The fit a 5.7 Length rod. . It’s not a stroker so the pistons work. Thread
