Engine Removal 1984 Trans AM

Sometime this year I will be removing the 305 (with A/T) in my car to replace rear main seal and to clean & paint the engine.
Since it is a T/A with the ground effects about the car, do i have to remove the front ground effects so that the engine hoist will slide under?
I have to remove the air deflector below the rad.
I have removed engines in a-body gm cars in the past.
Suggestions?

I had to come in from the side on mine, otherwise I would have had to remove the front bumper.

I have this engine hoist, which was the longest one HF sells.

I didn't have to remove any ground effects.

Why don't you simply raise the front of the car? Don't you have to do that any way to get motor mounts, tq converter bolts, etc,?
