Hello all, I am doing an L96 6L90 swap in my 1987 Trans Am GTA. I am wondering what I should do about a fuel pump hanger/sending unit. The engine should be good for around 550hp and I would like to future proof the fuel system as much as possible for boost in the future. I have been looking at an Aeromotive fuel pump sending unit assembly for the 82-92 f body cars but it looks like it only has -6AN feed and return lines and the 340lph pump it comes with is only rated at a maximum of 40 PSI and the terminator x that I have requires a minimum of 58psi. If I run half inch fuel line right off the pump will that cause a crazy amount of flow restriction? Are there any options for a billet hanger out there that has either -6 or -8 outlets that come without a pump? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: L96 Swap Fuel System
The 340 aeromotive pump is good for over 600hp N/A. Boost is tricky but if your combo all in is 550hp the aeromotive pump will be fine. FWIW, I make 515 rwhp with this pump N/A.

Are you using a factory sender/hanger?

No, I am using the Aeromotive one that comes in their stealth kit. However, I am positive I would have the same result with a stock style sender. There isn't anything special about the Aeromotive one other than the design to keep fuel at the pickup.
