A/C Removal advice??

A/C Removal advice??
ok well i already searched thru some posts on here and gott down to where im at now... well i already removed the A/C radiator the condensor and that other can thingy... ok well they r all out of the car now and since there isnt a motor in it yett its nice to just stand in there but what do i do with the big black cylinder lookin thing that seems to be connected wit the heater blower and the firewall?? do i just cap the lines goin into it since they dont come off or can i just take the whole black thing off?? and leave it off or what??

unbolt it from the firewall. and remove the whole thing. there are a few bolts-screws,actually that are removed from the interior side. if you have got this far in the removal process, it wouldnt make sense not to remove the one thing in the system that provides the most benefit-(thats what i think)when its out you will never look at passenger side spark plug chores as a headache again. then you could find a blower case from a car that just had a heater and install it over the holes left behind from the removal of the original. ebay has them. a lot of people here call em a/c delete like its a copo camaro or something, really just indicates the purchaser didnt want a/c-unless it is a 1le car, and still the 1le option code could exist along side a c60 code in the last years of 3rd gen production. i dunno for sure about the factory-do know for sure you will dig it when the evaporator housing goes bye-bye. i will take a pic. later of mine if you want and post it or email it to you. pulled it out last sunday nite. modified the heater case to accept the a/c blower resistors used all wiring and relays from the original harness, works good. take it easy, frank
