305 TPI to ZZ4 TPI help ???
305 TPI to ZZ4 TPI help ???
I plan on swapping a zz4 for my 305 tpi. I plan on going with aftermarket tpi base & runners, 58mm tb, 24lb injectors, and either slp or edelbrock headers.
My question is i already have a hypertech chip for my 305 would this work or should i just go with the 350 chip, or just get a custom one burned?
Also I was wondering if someone who has already done this could tell me what problems i could run into or new parts i need please help I love my car and want everything to go smoothly!!!

Welcome to the board.
I haven't done it myself, but a good bud has. The issues you'll face are:
Lack of a cross-over passage in the heads, so you'll have to plumb exhaust up from the headers to the intake to feed the EGR - no big deal, just use a Vette-style base.
Prom - just get a custom one.
Suggestions:
You probably don't need the 24 lb injectors, 22 will work just fine (bud uses 19's, runs better than 24's, but altitude may be a factor there). The 58mm TB is probably overkill as well - 52mm will feed it. Port the plenum, though, and use an AFPR. Go with the SLP headers, you won't regret it.
