Ford 302

I HAVE A 85 LTD THAT IS JUNK BUT MOTOR IS MINT WITH 2000 ML ON IT I WAS WONDERING IF IT WOULD BE WORTH PUTING IN MY 84 CAMARO WITH NO MOTOR TILL I FINISH MY 454 RACE MOTOR MONEY IS TIGHT AND I WANT TO DRIVE THE CAR
WHAT DO YOU GAYS THINK SHOULD I DO IT

j, there's what "can" be done, and "smart". What you're suggesting is the former but in no way the latter. Sell the LTD, buy a 305 or 350 to put in the Camaro for now; or get a Mustang or Fairmont to put the 302 into. Don't try to 5.0 your f-body that way.

go for it. You need a rear sump oil pan since the ford is probably front sump and wouldn't fit in a chevy the way it is.

the later 80's crapstains , I believe, had rear sump pans.
This way he can go to ford & chevy shows & watch people scratch thier heads & mutter " WTF?"

Fox body mustangs dont have a rear sump pan, its a dual sump deal. The only difference is the pickup location was changed, so theres a fair amount of messing with it aside of changing the pan. I really dont think the oil pump can easily be relocated from the front of the engine to somewhere else. Probably why Ford left it there.
