TBI/Perfomer RPM Carb manifold and hood clearance?

I just put in a Vortec 350 TBI with a Performer RPM square bore intake with an adapter plate and a 14x3 flat base open element. I haven't tried putting the hood back on yet but can already eyeball that I'm probobly gonna have some clearence problems. Anyone else have a set up like this, and experience any problems? And if so what did you do to rectify it? I don't have the money for a new hood so that is out of the question. But I was thinking that I could either remove the hood liner or just cut out a 14 inch circle for it to fit in to. If I did end up removing the whole liner, would it have any negative effects besides some more noise through the hood and maybe higher hood surface temps?

Dude, e-mail me, my car is your car, it's the same thing. I'll tell you how to get it to fit but I don't feel like posting the instructions

If you can't get a custom eprom burned by a local guy that's willing to learn, burn your own. $300 and you'll be on your way to burning eproms and ENJOYING your car to it's fullest potential. Learning to burn your own eproms has never been easier and it's something that every hot rodder should know how to do especially if he/she ever wants to work with EFI.
Once you get the equipment there are people like me on the diy-eprom board that'll coach even the dumbest person how to burn their custom eproms. Just look at me , if I can do it then 10% of the population can...just kidding. Really though, it isn't a science, it's basic tuning. It's all graphical so it's not like you have to sit infront of a computer and do hours of calculations.
