Finishing her up today...

As some of you know, I have had some oil troubles with the engine that I had dropped in my car just a few weeks ago. I had been blowing a lot of blue smoke, and just couldn't find the problem.

Well, I have been working on it at work for the past week or so, and I am getting ready to take it home today. I totally stripped it down, and rebuilt again. Found out that the lift of the cam was so high that the retainers were crushing my valve seals, and snapped a few of my springs (should have seen that coming) ... And that my intake was not sitting right since we took .030" off of the deck of the block and oil was getting into the combustion chambers.

Well, I am very excited to get it back today, gonna drop it back into my car tomorrow. I went with Comp Cams Magnum 280 cam. Hopefully things will work out this time!

Engine Follow Up

Finished the swap last night, and double checked everything this morning. I ended up swapping manifolds due to a sealing problem, but I got it all together, took it up the road, passed emissions with flying colors, and went and registered my car. Pretty productive day I think.
