Is the dash harness in a 2.8 the same as the one in the 5.0, I droped in a 5.7 and im installing a tbi off a 5.0 with the wireing harness. I am aiming to acheive the engine of a caprice 9C1. I have noticed most of the wires are the same but end up somewhere they wernt before and some of them not the same at all. So I wondered if the dash harness was different.

 

The 2.8 dash harness does not differ much from 5.7 and 5.0. Ask as specific question and I will try to answer... I can try to answer your question., but there are other much better qualified than myself.. If you are swaping in a 5.7 its a easy (yet tedious) sway.

Well I hae noticed little things like the wireing for the cruise for instance, it was a wire that just went to my brake switch but now it is controlled by the computer, and I just wondered if everything elce is different that I should know about. Even though I need a whole instrument cluster because the old one was cable driven and now vss.

The original 89 2.8 camaro harness.

 

You know I honestly thought we had put transducer(ms) in. But we did not... I am sorry I can't answer your cuise control question right now. The only thing I could do is take the information from books -- sorry...
