Another lt1 swap...
I might possibly be able to get a new LT1 shortblock assm. for 1200 or so. Now, i know next to nothing about this motor. My present setup on my RS is an lo3 (crap). Putting any performance/tuning issues aside for the moment and talking strictly what will bolt up, how much stuff from my original setup can i use? The reason i ask this is that it has to resemble something drivable by the time i swap the engine. My daily driver is on its way out and if i have a dead car and my camaro is in peices, im SOL. Ill deafinatly look into geting the proper stuff from a fourthgen later.
What heads will bolt onto this engine? i know the center bolt style wont work but what heads can i use?

now that i think about it this isn't such a hot idea.... there are much more cost eficient ways of doing this....
1200 for just the shortblock!! I saw a wrecked lt1 trans am for 2200, and that included the whole driveline, 3 out of 4 wheels. and interior. The body was beyond repair, but i wish i had that kind of money to spend.
