Where's everyone?

Hi all,

Just thought it a good opportunity to get together and update as to where we are with the 3rds?

I have been on a squeek finding mission and am down to the last 2.... Proving to be elusive but am getting there.

Took the sill covers (body by fisher) off the other day and drill a larger hole into the screw provisions. I then got the Waxoyl applicator and put the nozzle into the hole. I got the pressure up as much as possible through some serious pumping and BANG!!!.

The applicator bit came off the nozzle and I was sprayed by waxoyl which was spraying like a fountain... Went everywhere from the door panel to the socket set on the floor.... Luckily the nozzle was away from the interior or I would have been fubared

Still debating the should I paint the wheels black or leave them gold thing...

Basically just enjoying the sun and cruising whenever I can. The child seat isn't perfect behind my misses as she has to have the seta far forward and upright. Not ideal when you are 8 weeks away from giving birth LOL

So who's been up to what over these wonderful days?

Felix

uhh, took a step back from posting a bit, because i felt i was whoring out the board (at one point, almost every post had me as most recent reply!)

Got clear side marker lights off Ebay.

Got a blister on one front tyre, that causes a steering wobble.

Got a new tyre from USautomotive today, to replace the tyre with blister....

uhh, that's about it.

I missed ya Phil. Loads of people read without posting.

I went out for a 'cruise' last night at 10pm. It has to be the best time of day for it. Nothing like the smell of a hot exhaust and fried brake pads Driving through the town centres, I may as well been driving a Diablo for the attention the old girl was getting

I love my car

got the optional IR remote controll for my X-plod head unit today, price went from 40, to 20 quid, then to "i'l send you one"

aside from the fact that they keep bumping my money up, Sony has other advantages....

Not been up to much lately, not long back from hols....got a really nice set of replacement rear seats from a very nice gentleman just outside of Dunfermline for my transam, replacing the ripped ones. And he wouldn't even take one penny. Hows that for generosity. :hail:

Hello to one and all!

Felix, best of luck with the new little one! My wife gave birth to our son 7-weeks ago now! So as you might imagine I've been somewhat preoccupied and not spending as much time on the car. I've also just started a new job so that's been keeping me very busy indeed!

Boydmutch:- Will you be in Glasgow with your thirdgen at any point? Perhaps RMK, yourself and I could meet up and have a thirdgen convoy? Well done on the new seats!

Good luck with the new car Phil!

What great weather it has been for those in the UK lucky enough to own a thirdgen!

Cheers guys,

Gordon

Gordon, fantastic news!!! Congrats! No wonder you've been a a little elusive How's the sleep going? To change jobs as well? You must be knackered. I've forgotten how tiring it can be, our daughter is an angel at 18 months in comparison tohow she was although tantrums have started. Her legs have also got so long that she isn't comfortable sat behind in the Camaro. Not sure of a way around this at the moment but I am working on it....

Anyway all the best mate and keep us posted.

Thanks on the congrats Felix and Boydmutch! Much appreciated. As you can remember Felix - sleep is at a premium at this stage.

Is that the show on this weekend in Irvine? If so, then yes I'm thinking of going along with a friend who has a rod/custom Anglia! Do you have any info on Kyle cruisers show?

still hear !

Been a slack *** in not much posting lately I must admit but have been taking skin off my knuckles to ensure that the car sales? through the MOT on thurs 21st Aug (only the day before I head up to felix's to cruise up in formation to the hotrod nats!. So as Felix said cutting it fine but i have a good feeling she'll pass, any way the garage owner runs a rail dragstar with a chevy big block so he's on my side I hope! He's passed my last three american cars..I just hope that the oil leak doesnt get any worse than already is, put it this way it'll never rust underneath!
Winter job is engine out & all new gaskets/seals, maybe a mild cam & headers. All good fun, looking forward to the drive up to the nats & hopefully sunny weather so I can show off my "under restoration interior"

PS, anybody got the August issue of Street Machine as there’s a pic of my old 2nd gen Z28 on page 32 top left, still looks as stunning as the day I sold her last xmas 02, great to see the new owner Steve has kept her in superb condition.

Cheers Damo
