I had a long spell in hospital, when I went to start my car nothing happened.
The wires to the fuel pump had been chewed by mice. They also had a go at the loom going to the tbi module and some of the filling in the back seat had been pulled out.
I'm hoping they didn't get behind the dash.

Andy.
PS What car have you got by the way?
Hi Andy. My car was parked near a hedge which backs onto a field. I had removed the rear hatch mechanism to clean it up. I had a cover over the car and had put the spare wheel on top to keep it closed, but I reckon the mice must have got in that way. My car's an 89RS. I've attached a picture of it.

Thanks for that. Have you put the hatch motor back now?! Is the damage repaired yet? Are any more wires chewed through? Is it running yet? Where on the car were the fuel pump wires chewed through? At the back?
Sorry, loads of questions! That is bad luck. Adding insult to in jury, so to speak! Nice colour car. Can't beat black. Oh, and is there any sign of the mouse/mice?
Good luck with it.
Andy.
The pull down mechanism has been put back. It's working ish. One of the runners has cracked so I'm going to order a repair kit, I think thirdgenresource supply one. I won't open the hatch until its done. The wires were chewed near the back, I can't say exactly where cos I'm in a wheelchair and couldn't get down to see for myself. The mouse is nowhere to be seen. If it does show up it's going to be parked on the end of the aerial.
