Crimp Tool
Crimp Tool
Hi fellas
I want to replace part of the wiring loom and I was wondering if I need to buy a special crimp tool from the States, or whether the ones you get in Halfords and auto supplies shops will be ok.
Cheers Mark

Hi Mark,
If your using standard red, blue and yellow crimps then a standard uk crimper will be fine.I will say though spend the extra and get a ratchet crimper rather than one of those squeeze and hope jobs.Get one from an electrical wholesale type place.

the halfords professional range includes a superb ratchet type crimping tool, also has a wire stripper at the end - not one of those grip and pull types, place the wire in it, squeeze, and the mechanism strips the wire neatly for you.
