Interior Clips
Where is a good place in UK/Europe to get interior clips. I need to take off the black interior trim on the A pillar. Those clips they use to hold them on alway break on me. It's a non T Top. I can't find any place that stocks univeral fasteners/Clips. Looking for a mail order place. Can't find any on ebay.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Engine: 5.0, Holley 600 cfm 4-barrel
Transmission: THM350 ??
Silly question, but I wonder if it's worth trying Vauxhall. i.e. GM? Surely interior clips won't change much in size or design.
Hope this helps.

I deal a lot with Vauxhall, and there are no similar clips i'm afraid.
I just ordered 10 off Wisbech [only 6 needed, 3 per side] as i took the headlining out, and hence the removal of those bits.
I got them all out ok, but tried putting them back, too brittle, they are a weird shape.
If you need any part numbers, i have all the parts books, 82 -92 with diagrams etc, been very useful so far.

Vader, I ordered some of the GM clips over two years ago when I started restoring the car but the place I got them seem to have disappeared, can't get there site now. I found this other site late last night and here are the clips. The clips are crap though as they don't clip the A pillar trim tight to the roof and break if you look at them!.Below is a link to a picture of them. I wonder would the clips that hold the door card to the door work.

Oh. THOSE clips. I believe those are engineered to snap if they are exposed to air, exposed to temperatures above 40°, or temperatures below 60°.
They didn't last long on my Fiero. They probably don't do much better on the A pillar trim of a ThirdGen. Unfortunately, I have no suggestions for improved replacements. Those are still availalbe here:

Thanks for the links vader. Those are the worst clips I have ever come across. They don't hold the A trim on tight either.

Its a shame considering the engineering on these cars for their age is dead straight forward, nothing spectacular, just plain old know how.
Then they gave some escaped loony instructions on how to make a headlining, and got his best half wit friend the job of clip designer.
The same masterplan managed to sink Rover in the end.

Just bought a big collection of spacers, clips, 4 front brake pipe brackets [f-bracket] some are packs of, etc etc, so a small, but not too lightweight a package, a very helpful guy called Bill gave me a quote for shipping too:
UPS $40.00--express 2-5 days
Fed-ex $40.00--express 2-5 days
mail $25.00--no tracking 4-10 days

I went for fed-ex, it costs me £10 every package i get from the UK, so £20 is not unreasonable that distance, and if you know the part number for what you want, its a doddle.
