another year, another MOT..
passed 1st time with no comments other than the car is in remarkable shape!
new front struts were fitted in rediness, and have made a huge difference to the way the car rides and handles, it really feels like new now, and a new oil pressure sender has cured the oil leak the car has always had, its now 100% drip free!
oil pressure readings are now correct, 50psi @ 1500rpm, 35 psi hot at idle, so not bad for a 135,300 mile car! before the guage just showed 30psi all the time, then on the calais run last year went balistic, shooting up to 60 psi then settling back down all the time (i knew the pressure was ok, so i just ignored the guage)
i have suddenly realised that i'm a stainless catback, a respray and a set of weatherstips away from the car being exactly what i want! its almost done!!!
the sport coupe is a keeper, so i might be on the lookout mid next year for another camaro in need of 'help' to do things with..

just to ***** a couple of pics

It looks great, hopefully if i can con my brother in law into giving mine a respray it might look almost as good.
Mine must be quite a rare colour as Spectra red was only used for 83-84 as far as i can tell.
Its not the nicest red, so i'm going for a close one if poss.
And if one more person asks me if i'm spraying it black...........

Nah its been sprayed, not perfect, but apart from paying for paint, and the free use of Quicks spray booth, it was totally free.
