Well, with the project nearing an end I am hoping to pop into some of the States-side stores I've heard so much about, when I go to LA in 6 weeks. I probably won't be allowed to rumage through any junk yards, but I'll probably see what Autozone and Pep Boys are all about.

If anyone wants something specific, and it'll fit easily in a suitcase, let me know and I'll look out for it when I'm there.

Yep, I'm back now. Dissapointingly I only brought back a new gear **** and some chrome trims for the exhaust. Didn't really get time to shop around and only got those items because we happened to pass a Pep Boys.

Only when I return do I realise I need a new caliper

 

That's too bad

Oh well.........there is always ebay for the calipers.....

How did you find yanks? Anything like the episode of Top Gear portrays?

 

nah nothing like that. i tell you what, they are the nicest people. not like the miserable lot i had to come back to england for. in fact, the last thing i did before i left the Oklahoma City Hilton was to use their business suite to look up immigration laws.

 

Come to Canada.............we're nicer and our dollar is worth more!!
