I'm new to this but I think if you go to Sears they have some type of socket that suposedly grabs even stripped bolts.
Hopefully I was of some help to you

My son-in- law and I ran into that problem a couple of weeks ago. There is a factory metal tab that locks that bolt in.Bend the tabs back and you will be able to remove that bolt.We had a clearance problem also.We used a crow-foot wrench that was 3/8'' drive and finally got it out. GOOD LUCK!!!

he is right those little metal tabs can be a real pita when you cant see if it is off
one of my manifld bolts got rounded when i was doing the headerswap
and i hd to use a combo of a hammer and a pair of realy good vise grips(best toool i own)

man, EVERY SINGLE 3rd gen header install I did, I had the same D A M N problem w/ the same friggin bolt. Here is the trick....1st as the other said....that damn tab needs to be bent out. I just use a really long screwdriver and hammer to punch it out of the way. Secondly, you have to go from underneath and remove the y-pipe and use a 3/8" drive breaker bar w/ a regualr (short) socket. I forget the size it is, but its the same as the others.

This is a sure way to get it .......do the same for putting the header bolt back in. Mine were 3/8" bolts and I just used a wrench from underneath.
