True duals...
Hey guys, I want to run real duals on my car and I'm wondering how to do it before I get into it.. right now i have the lame flowmaster system with the y pipe into 1 pipe to 1 muffler with fake duals, personally I think it sounds quite pathetic... to run true duals do you have to run them both on the passanger side? whats the largest size pipes you can fit.. if anybody knows please post me a follow up... btw.. its a 420 hp 457torque RS

It's going to vary state to state and how much they enforce the law. I know in MD the cops wouldn't mind, but emissions wise I wouldn't pass.

in response to 89rs question, no you dont have to run them both on the pass side. for some examples check out brents f-body links page. he has some picks about a quarter of the way down the page under "exhaust" i believe the second set of pics is the best looking. it all looks like custom work though!

89RS, I think you might be able to stuff 2 1/2" side by side. Blue, the cops don't mind to much 35 min north of the city, but emm. will bite you in the butt. The car can not be altered. But it was also on a 74 Nova.

true duals attn:no4njunk
no4njunk,
Do you have any photos of the underside of your car ? That is the setup I want to run , I think I know of a shop that will do this for me . I dont do a lot of driving where clearence would be a problem , but has it ever been an issue for you ? The huge catalytic converters are low as crap anyway. As far as the H Pipe goes I might not be able to afford to have that done, but did you buy the H Pipe or did your shop fabricate it for you?
Thanks for any info you might be able to offer,
Mike (1990GTA)
