Can't go wrong with either Flowmaster or Hooker. I like Hooker, sound clip is in the signature, only shifting at 4k.

Headers and hooker cat back definitely sound mean.

if you have a 305 i would definatly get some flowtech headers and y-pipe
they are the cheapest set of headers you can find and are the best to get with a 305
they fit great, flow great(1.5 primary size is all you need for a 305),and sound bad @$$ when you take out the cat and add a flowmaster 80
my car sounds bad @$$ with this setup i wish i had a sound file so you could hear it
im serious go with set up and you wont be disapointed
the headers are only $100 and the y-pipe is only $100
cant beat them for the price

Flowmasters exhaust systems.

With the cut-out my car sounds just plain bad ***. I went through one of those parking structures and I set off 10 alarms at less than 2500 RPM. The things sounds aggressive and has a muscle car sound. I get a lot of people telling me that the car sounds nice. I think it not only sounds tough but sounds get the hell out of my way. Never knew a 305 could sound so mean. Waiting for the ZZ4 now.

what I did on my bird (91 305) is take off the muffler, bolt a y shaped pipe (not an actual y pipe itself, a short small y shaped pipe) bolt that to the end were the muffler goes, and by 2 90 elbow pipes, a couple long sections, and 2 flowtech terminator resonator exhaust tips, then ya still have a nice dual look out the back, and it sounds deep, throaty and mean as hell, but not too loud and obnoxious. but this only sounds good if ya still have a converter on there.
