PLug access with Hooker super comps
PLug access with Hooker super comps
Anyone know what the plug access is like with Hooker Super Comps. I have AFR 195 heads with 'vette' angle plugs. Heard these had the best bang for the buck and are offered with 1 3/4 primaries. Thx.

Don't know about the super comps, but the competition headers aren't that bad. You just have to remove the little rubber part that comes in some spark plug sockets, and you can get to all of them like that. If you leave that rubber thing in, there is atleast one plug that you can't get the socket on.

Are you talking shorties or long tube? Since you say 1-3/4" primaries, you can only mean long tube.
That being the case, I have no idea. Mine are a bear to get to, though.

There is a guy on the boards named phil87iroc. He has afr 190s with hooker supercomp lt's and a 5 speed. Here is a link to his page. He shows a pic at the bottom of a custom made shorty spark plug socket. I think he said that he had to custom make a shorty plug for one cylinder because of the afr's because at least at that time there was not a plug for an aluminum head that was short enough.
