well guess what everyone? i broke my exhaust! my '87 Formula supposedly has Magnaflow exhaust on it and on the way home the car got real loud (ya know, soundin real good to a *******!). well, turns out the pipe coming from the single cat to the "magnaflow" had slipped out of its clamp. i purchased a new clamp in a quest for more power, i got more power but that muffler has to be quieter than stock! i cant even hear my darn car running! well, i ignored the rattles and "quiet but junky" sound it made my car have because i liked the extra power. until today. i was on the interstate and got in a race with a thunderturd sc, which i skillfully dusted, and at about 110, the new clamp let go, and later when i looked under the car, the muffler input was bent bad so ill just let it run straight cat for a while. so now i need some assistance from my fellow f-body lovers, send replies with your suggestions for what my exhaust system should be, as i have made the wise decision to rip all of that junk out. i know these cars fairly well, i just wanna see what everyone out there thinks about today's header/exhaust systems. thanks guys/gals!

just get your intermediate pipe replaced, and if you dont liek your muffler, get it replaced with flowmaster or hooker. Sound of my exhaust setup is in my sig.

I would suggest the Hooker system. Not too loud at idle, but when you get on it it's really loud.

Hooker shorty super comps and leave the Y pipe open!! That is what I have done so far. By Monday I will have the pipe in place of my cat and it will run out my tail. But I will still have a cut out in place of the cat. It sounds great. The muffler I would go with is the Ravin. It cost more, but it is worth it.
